And as time continues to pass.....
Back to the grind would probably be a highly appropriate choice of words to describe the way in which the past few days have gone by. Tests, assignments and the rest of the usual stuff has been depressing me to every extent possible ( as you may well imagine ) It's not as though the past few days have been entirely without incident . The MUN took place last weekend, and all things considered it was definitely a great success. But MUNs apart...things still aren't going very well for me, and look like they're only going to get worse from this point forward. It's now time to seriously start considering future college plans. Until I get a confirmed seat in some college or the other, I can't breathe in peace.....and time is now running out. With academic pressures multiplying ten fold with every passing day, and fear about what to do next building up all the time..I'm pretty much going through a seemingly never ending low phase right now. And apart from all the tensions that I already have...I'm being pressurized to rejoin the basketball team. I seriously wish I could have some fucking freedom to choose what I want to do. As for what I want to do is of course to publish a book, but sadly I've made very little progress on my current project since my last post ( how the hell am I supossed to find time?) I think writing is definately an idea I need to give up on for now...plus the fan fics I write on veritaserum scarcely have a good response, so I doubt I can even be termed as a good author anyway. Alright that's all for now. Got to get back to work!

Deathly Hallows...my own untitled project and more
LONG time since I updated blog. First of it's now been 4 weeks since the much anticipated Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was published. My thoughts on the book? Simply put amazing. In no means has JK Rowling dissapointed me with this final installment. Infact the book moved at an excellent pace and delivered everything that I hoped it would. Most if not all questions were answered satisfactorily and despite having read every theory possible there were still twists in the story that caught me by surprise. I think this book and Goblet of Fire are probably my favorite HP books. On the subject of books we now come to the topic of my own writing ambitions. After rejecting my previous idea, I now have have a fresh idea for a fantasy novel. I've written the first chapter or rather the first part of the prologue but I still lack a detailed chapter plan. I need to start working on one soon If I intend to produce a decent manuscript. As is always the case the chances of publication followed by success are slim, but I shall strive to do my best. On the Academic front I've come down to Math SL a decision that I beleive is amongst the best decisions that I have ever made in my life. Nevertheless I'm still struggling with my subjects including of late BnM in which the IA has been rather exhausting. For future academic plans I find my desire to study abroad gowing meeker everyday although admittedly the prospect of studying in India is hardly inviting either. As I've said on many occasions the LAST thing I want to do in life right now is get a degree and go to college. Unfortunately though I need to resign myself into acceptance that is the immediate path that I must take upon finishing the IB although that does not in the least make it anymore exciting. That's all for now.

The Pursuit of Happiness part 2
In the face of immense and in fact unwarranted (I'm not going into details now I'm a bit tired but be sure to check back some other time) boredom it is time for another update. So here's the promised part 2 of the happiness post. In all honesty I haven't been able to come up with anymore ideas on the concept of happiness, and personally I'm beginning to get the feeling that happiness cannot be defined or even obtained. It can only be felt if we search for it and recognize it within ourselves. To be in the pursuit of happiness is in the opinion of my infinite wisdom to merely look within one's self and find that which brings the person happiness. It is too accept that we are happy. It is too rise above the distraction thrown at a person by the outside world and to attain self satisfaction. To hunt for happiness through material aspects of life, is the wrong direction to hunt in. Happiness is to be found within your own mind. Through control of one's self and through mastery of one's senses
I'm aware of how awfully Buddhist this sounds but in all honestly after spending alot of time pondering this matter this is truly the only answer I can find. I can be happy if I learn to grow content with who I am and whoever I will ever be. To hunt for a betterment in the so called true world only brings forth within me discontent, jealousy and a strong feeling of helplessness. Everybody is blessed to be happy. But not everybody is brave enough to accept the true form of happiness as their real happiness, because what people believe to be happiness is merely disillusion. At least that's the only answer I can think. Maybe it's been ripped from some eastern philosophy I don't know. But I honestly believe it maybe true. Only time will tell whether it is
PS: If this seems terribly confusing then I don't know what to say. It confuses me too, but I think I'm getting the hang of it now. Ah well.....stay tuned for the next update

The Pursuit of Happiness part 1
On watching the film I certainly found myself thinking pretty deeply about it. Incidentally I was also interested to learn the US constitutions grants the right to the pursuit of happiness to people. And like the character of Will Smith in the film I was interested to notice the use of the word "pursuit". Everyone is indeed in a pursuit of happiness. We all work to live. And work harder to live happily. Some people find happiness in money, some find happiness in other things. But everybody tries to be happy. It is incidentally happiness as a phrase that interests me. What is happiness ? Is it different from satisfaction? Is different from achievement and security ? the other things that we all hunt for in life ? It's certainly something to think about. Life is a challenge but a challenge to achieve what ? happiness ? If so then why do we deliberately make decisions that will bring neither us or others happiness ? The though of happiness has seriously got me thinking very hard about life. Once I have more thoughts on the subject I''ll update this blog with a part 2 of this entry. In the meantime try and be happy

The Indian Presidential Race
Irrespective of whoever actually rises to that office there seems to be one common consensus amongst all sensible Indians, that Mr Kalam is without doubt the best candidate. No one can deny this one obvious fact. The most educated and the least political person one could ever find in the Indian Political system. He is a man of honour and ethics . His contributions to our Nation as a scientist are in it's self admirable. Unfortunately during his tenure he has come under criticism most notable over the Afzal Execution case. However it is important we understand that in our country a President truly doesn't have the kind of power that many people claim he does. They are a number of panels to whom he must refer before making any decision who in turn do nothing better than bind him. His ability to bring about a reform is restricted due to the fact that he is nothing more than a tool of our government. Despite being considered the highest office in India there is little he can actually do. Our nation doesn't deserve a man like Mr Kalam as President. By staying in office he would merely allow himself to be used as a pawn in the dirty politics that have infiltrated our government at the highest level. Politics is not the place for an honest honourable and patriotic man. Being president would only leave him vulnerable to undeserved criticism. He would be wasted if he were President. His contributions to our nation would be of far greater value if he were in a less politicized position. Our nation is in need of men like him. But until we can remove the filthy elements who find ways to bind him and suppress his efforts to bring about an improvement in our nation we do not deserve him. By appointing him president and then obstructing him we make a mockery of our presidential system and we demean one of our nation's finest contributors. Mr Kalam come back to a cleaner profession. The entire nation stands behind you. Unfortunately by joining politics you join a brand of people who do not deserve to be called Indians. Come back to us who honour you and value you. Come back and be an Indian again

Random ( and not very cheerfull) update
Well it's been a while since my last post....not that long, but I figured an update would do no one any harm. Things have of late been going rather badly, with the culmination of badness occuring with my SAT scores being worse than horrible ( and no I'm not going to post them up here ) Once again I find myself in that same irritating being pressurized from different directions kind of situation which is totally not welcome. It doesn't help now that it's high time I got started on that pile of homework that's as usual as big as it can get. Plus now I'm starting to get a bit more realistic about my writing ambitions. My beautiful plot doesn't seem so great now so I'm already trying to think of something else which isn't working. I guess Inspiration for a story truly can't hit a person from the blue. You've got to get your back side down on a chair and think Unfortunately there is already an avalanche of things I need to think about and I can't give a fictional story that may never get published a priority. I'm definately not going to give up. But maybe I'm going to have to give the idea of being a published author a backseat for the moment and focus on more immediate problems that I'm up against.
Well that is all for the moment...I'll be back with more interesting stuff as soon as possible In the meantime I hope you're having a better week than me!

War !
yeah...I'm at war. I'm at war with a massive ton load of homework that's been dumped on my shoulders. I'm currently engaged in an insane war to somehow finish these crazy assignments and have them ready by the time school reopens. Unfortunately my army has been infiltrated by the enemy. Their secret agents have taken control and my army is now plagued by them. They are known by the name of procrastination. A dangerous force that obstructs me at every point when I'm trying to finish my work. Until I manage to safeguard myself from this deadly weapon of the enemy I will remain horribly vulnerable. For the enemy strikes by throwing at me ridiculous amounts if work, and only if I complete this work can I win the war. Procrastination ( The secret spies of the enemy ) will try and stop me. I must win!. I'll be back...hopefully with news of some victories.
